I'm a film director and impassioned lover of goldendoodles from Los Angeles, CA. In 2012, I made The Record Breaker, a comedic documentary about Ashrita Furman, the man with the most Guinness Records of all time. While filming, I attempted to set a Guinness Record myself for "Most Snails on Face." I failed, but the film still premiered at HotDocs, screened at IDFA, won the Jury Prize for Documentary at the Palm Springs ShortFest, and was released theatrically as part of DocuWeeks in NYC and Los Angeles. Its festival run will continue through 2013. I also direct comedy shorts with Dave Franco, Chris Mintz-Plasse, Kenny G, Toph Eggers and a bunch of other awesome people. Since 2007, our stuff has been featured in/on Entertainment Weekly, Gawker, New York Mag, Perez Hilton, Wired, Adult Swim, and others. A short film I made with Franco and Mintz-Plasse, Would You, premiered at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival. Previously, I co-directed and edited the Matt Damon-narrated documentary American Teacher, which was released theatrically in 2011 by First Run Features and broadcast on television by the Documentary Channel. Besides all my film work, I've been a contributor to The New Yorker and McSweeney's.
