God forbid we focus on substance instead of looks for once.

Our society doesn’t always value what it should.

Too many times, good looks are valued over accomplishments and intelligence, and that was never more clear than during Sunday night’s 60 Minutes interview with Steve Bannon.

The former strategist for President Trump sat down with Charlie Rose for his first public appearance since getting ousted in mid-August, and it was exactly what you’d expect, given his history― aggressive nationalism with more dog whistles than Petco. It was a perfect look into the poisonous influence he had in the White House.

But, of course, those negatives are all getting overlooked because Bannon is just so damn hot.

The two button-up shirt look was nothing short of iconic and belonged at New York Fashion Week, but that shouldn’t distract us from his disgusting rhetoric.

The appropriate response to Bannon’s interview should have been contempt. Instead, simply because of Bannon’s hunky looks, it was a total gush-fest across the board, even by liberals.

Check out these tweets from when the interview was airing:

Clearly, just because Bannon is an absolute stud, we willingly let that override the horrible things he says.

It’s time we focus on qualities that actually matter. Believe it or not, there are more important attributes than being drop-dead handsome.

Yeah, even with Steve Bannon.
